Rocky Mountain Credit Union offers American Express MoneyGram Money Orders to our members for a $1.00 charge per money order. Money orders can only be purchased in amounts up to $1,000.00 each. Money orders can be used in place of cash or corporate checks to pay bills, purchase vehicles, etc.

What do I do if my money order has been lost?
If money orders have been lost but have not been cashed, MoneyGram will issue a refund to purchasers of money orders, provided they can supply proper proof of purchase. The purchaser must obtain a MoneyGram Money Order claim card and submit
a) the completed claim card
b) a copy of the money order receipt (stub) and
c) a $15 processing fee to the address printed on the claim card.
Most requests are processed in 30 days, but please allow up to 65 days for total processing and mail time. The processing fee will be deducted from refunds when a fee is not received. A photocopy will be provided if the money order has been cashed and a $15 processing fee has been received.
What to do If my money order is damaged?
If a money order is damaged MoneyGram will issue a new money order to the purchaser. The purchaser must obtain a MoneyGram Money Order claim card and submit
a) the completed claim card
b) the original damaged money order
c) a copy of the money order receipt (stub) if available
d) a $15 processing fee to the address printed on the claim card.
Most requests are processed in 30 days.
