Senior System Administrator

Rocky Mountain Credit Union is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator, for our Information Technology team in Helena. Rocky Mountain Credit Union offers a competitive wage and an excellent benefits package.

Role: Responsible for providing supervision of System Administrators with support and maintenance of the computer systems, which includes hardware, software, third party applications, network hardware/services and peripherals needed to support RMCU staff daily functions. Assisting the Network and Hardware Service Manager and Application Support Manager with projects. Assess and prioritize requests from System Admins, Network and Hardware Service Manager or Application Support Manager to ensure that they receive the highest quality service possible in order to resolve user problems. Responsibilities include supervising our System Administrators, monitoring system performance and configuring new software and hardware. Present a friendly, professional and personable attitude that communicates to members, staff and visitors that the credit union is a friendly and professional financial institution.

Experience: Five to ten years of similar or related experience. In depth and complete knowledge of all aspects of data processing.

Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). College degree in information system, an equivalent degree, or an equivalent level of experiences. Must have one or more of the following certifications: VMware Certified Professional VCP, Microsoft Certified System Engineer MCSE, CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA. Strong understanding on internetworking technologies such as VLAN, IPSEC, ACLs, and Routing Protocols. Voice and video over IP configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience

Work Environment: This position is normally scheduled during normal credit union business hours. This position works from a branch location, but has the ability to work remotely. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The IT Department hours of business are normally 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. This position must be able to work flexible hours, which includes weekends, to accommodate the system, such as system reboot, the evening shutdown, software upgrades, month end processing and data purges. Occasional travel for updating PCs and maintenance may be required between branches.
