Role: To ensure members and potential members receive fast, courteous, and accurate service on the telephone; explain products and services, responds to problems, and direct phone calls to the appropriate area. Present a friendly, professional and personable attitude that communicates to members, staff and visitors that the credit union is a friendly and professional financial institution.
Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Work Environment: This job is scheduled during normal credit union business hours. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00 pm.
Interpersonal Skills: Good listening and telephone skills; Ability to prioritize multiple, and sometimes, conflicting tasks and meet deadlines; Ability to comprehend complex functions and procedures and to be able to disseminate that knowledge in a clear and understandable format to others by expressing oneself clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Ability to interact positively with co-workers, management, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive attitude, even under extreme pressure.
