We encourage our members to get involved with what Rocky Mountain Credit Union is doing. With the help of key members and committees, our impact in the community is strong and growing.
Volunteers are a critical function of the credit union system, and without them, we wouldn’t exist! Currently, Rocky Mountain Credit Union is looking for a volunteer to serve on the Supervisory Committee. The Supervisory Committee identifies, monitors, and tests controls on credit union risk. They review and monitor internal controls and their effectiveness, and make recommendations to the board for improvements to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
The Committee has a budget and can use outside resources (audit or accounting firms) to accomplish these tasks. Successful appointees will have the credit union’s best interests in mind, be interested in learning more about how the credit union runs, and be adept at interacting with others to accomplish tasks. The committee meets typically once per month.
